Happy Monday, my friends! I hope you’re all having fun this Holiday season. I’m personally enjoying having my first real break in quite some time. While there are people who go crazy when they don’t have work or something to do, that’s not me. I like having free time to just lounge, relax and explore.
Speaking of exploring, I wore this outfit for an early morning coffee and window shopping date with my sister Ale. We visited my favorite coffee shop Copa Vida and walked around Old Pasadena. As is typical of SoCal winter, you can expect very chilly mornings and slightly warmer temperatures throughout the day. Therefore, you should aim to layer up early in the day. This oversize coat (recently worn here) was the only extra layer I needed to keep me warm and cozy as we strolled around. In addition, I layered on this gorgeous handmade wrap by Knit by Design, which is one of the softest most luxe things I’ve ever owned. Even my mom was even admiring it when I wore it the other day.
With all this talk about layers, you might be saying to yourself that this doesn’t look much different from something you’ve seen me wear in Portland. That’s probably true. Although I spent my first night back home bragging about how LA weather felt so warm to me compared to the snow day we had just experienced in Portland, I have been quick to acclimate to my current environment. Plus, temperatures drop down to about 40 degrees in the mornings around here, so don’t let the sunshine fool you into thinking it’s that warm!
xoxo,
Helen
